Club Information

The Snake Pit and Aspull Olympic Wrestling Club may share the same gym, but they are two distinct entities, each offering a unique focus within the world of wrestling. The Snake Pit is dedicated to the art of Catch Wrestling, preserving this traditional style, while Aspull Olympic Wrestling Club focuses on freestyle and Olympic-style wrestling.

Aspull Olympic Wrestling Club operates entirely on a voluntary basis and is committed to welcoming wrestlers of all experience levels, from complete beginners to seasoned athletes. We believe in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for anyone interested in developing their skills on the mat.

A licence fee is required to participate in any classes & at any Snake Pit events. There is an annual licence fee of £25, which you can find here:

For adults, classes are priced at £5 per session. And for kids the classes are £4 each. Whether you’re looking to start your wrestling journey or hone your skills, we encourage you to join us at The Snake Pit and we will be in touch.
